Volunteering Roles
Maindee Unlimited is run by dozens of volunteers of all ages and abilities. People usually volunteer for two or three hours a week. You can see some of our current volunteering roles below. If you’re unsure about next steps and want to find out a bit more then please email us at admin@maindee.org or ring the library on 01633 309443 or pop into the library and talk to a member of the team. You don't need to be a experienced librarian or a skiled gardener - there are good volunteering roles for everyone.
Library Volunteer
Volunteering Location:

Role Overview:
Welcome people to the Library, help with runnimg things, check books in and out, help with the computers and printers and recommend a great read! With a variety of jobs we can find something to suit you. No experience needed
Volunteering Sessions:
Monday: 2:30 - 5:00pm
Wednesday: 10:00 - 5:00pm
Friday: 2:30 - 4:30pm
Saturday: 10:00 - 12:00pm
The Food Pantry Assistant
Volunteering Location:
79 Chepstow Road
Role Overview:
Varied roles available, either picking up and dropping off food donations or helping the team hand out food.
Volunteering Sessions:
Monday: 2:30 - 4:30pm
Wednesday: 2:30 - 4:30pm
Friday: 2:30 - 4:30pm
Saturday: 10:30 - 12:00pm
Greening Maindee Volunteer
Volunteering Location:
Varies
Role Overview:
Planting bulbs, litter picking, gardening, helping bio-diversity thrive, and creating a nicer environment for us all to live in.

Running a drop in centre to support local people with tech questions.

Our busy library needs regular cleaning. We would be pleased to hear from you if you think you might like to join our cleaning crew. Vacuuming, dusting, kitchen and toliets. We are flexible on hours. No experience needed
