Trading at
Maindee Festival
The 2010
Maindee Festival will be held on Saturday July 3rd in the
grounds of
If you are over 16 and have
not traded anywhere before you may be interested in our Traders Development Scheme.
Send an email to info@maindee.org
to register your interest. We will then
informally meet up to discuss your plans and see how we can help get your idea
off the ground. No previous experience
or equipment needed. You don’t need a
“big idea”, just a willingness to work hard to run your stall.
Almost all traders want to
return the following year, so it is a good idea to book early.
Traders in arts, crafts,
bric-a-brac, music/instruments, plants, fruit & veg
and , ethnic goods report good business in the trading period. Our visitors
come from culturally diverse communities. So the Festival is an excellent way
for campaigns, advice and support groups to target minority groups.
Food traders must be registered
with their Local Authority and compliant with all prevailing food hygene and safety requirements. If you are selling unwrapped
food you must, as a minimum, have a supply of hot and cold water, soap
and towels for handwashing and a sanitizer spray and
clean cloths for food surfaces.
All traders must be adequately
insured to cover yourself for any liability that might arise as a result of
your trading activities.
We want you to have a successful
trading day at the festival and will be pleased to advise you, especially if
you are a new trader or this is your first time at Maindee Festival.
We may be able to supply stalls,
tables, chairs for an additional fee.
