Maindee Festival Association

We are a voluntary organisation of artists, local residents and community activists.

Our aim is to use the arts to break down barriers, develop skills and build bridges between different sections of the community.

We meet monthly and hold an AGM each year. See our constitution .

Over the last few years we have:

provided over 600 arts, dance and music workshops to over 5000 participants.

hosted local "Night Out Scheme" performances by Red Ladder Theatre, Theatr Powys and Hijinx Theatre

Helped establish a regular programme of Afro Brazilian drumming classes in Maindee

Worked with local partners (SEWREC / IDEAS) to bring Grassroots Theatre from Zimbabwe to Wales each year

Helped develop plans for a community fountain in Maindee
