Celebrate the new look Maindee Library by joining us for a perfomance by Rufus Mufasa and Unity. Paintings by Marion Cheung.

Mufasa’s performance poetry 'Landmarks' meshes a unique range of vocal delivery styles with a sense of urgency. Created last year for Made in Roath festival, funded by Articulture – Landmarks is inspired by Marion Cheung's 'Lost Connections' paintings. Landmarks explores our eroding connection to the natural world through the removal of words from the Oxford Junior Dictionary. Words from the natural world such as 'acorn 'and 'ivy' have been replaced with words from the digital age. Landmarks ignites debate about language, nature, poetry, technology and hip-hop culture. Collaborating with artists Unity and Marion Cheung, they will create an immersive space to explore a range of topics including love and loss, advertising, social media and motherhood. Mufasa is a veritable force of nature!
