Now it’s time to get ready for the 2005 Parade of the Elements on Saturday July 9th ! JOIN THE PARADE : The best way to experience the parade is to join it! The theme is "The Elements". The parade has four sections: Earth, Fire Air and Water. Choose your section and get dressed up. If your group wants to join the parade, or needs advice or materials, contact Andy, our Parade Director at andy.orourke@ntlworld.comASSEMBLES at 11am : Maindee Primary School (off Corporation Rd by Fitness First Gym) at 11am for a midday start. No motorised vehicles except wheelchairs. No glass bottles or dogs on parade please. No vehicle parking on school site. See route mapSTARTS at 12pm : Parade leaves Maindee Primary School, turns right into Corporation Rd and left into Llanwern Street. At top of Llanwern Street is turns left in Marborough Road. At the end of Marborough Rd it turns left into Harrow Road. At end of Harrow Rd it turn right into Corporation Road and then left down Grafton Rd into Festival site at Rodney parade. See route mapENDS at 1pm : The parade arrives at the Rugby Club for Festival opening ceremony at 1.15pm. |
