Storytelling in the Yurt

2.00pm, 3.00pm and 4.00pm

The Festival first invited Richard to Maindee in 2001. Our budget was very small that year and we did not have many tents for our performers to use. So Richard was sharing one of our small tents with a silk screen workshop artist. Not ideal – but we expected it would be a sunny day and that Richard would gather some children and adults together and take them off under the trees to tell stories in the shade. Instead the sky blackened, thunder and lightning crashed over the site– then a downpour washes the whole proceedings away.
